What is evie-voice?
evie-voice is a commercial extension package for the Evie local AI assistant on ManxOS. It adds voice-oriented capabilities so users can interact with Evie hands-free — useful in classrooms, workshops, accessibility scenarios, and busy desk environments.
The open-source ManxOS / Evie core stays free. This package is a paid add-on sold by Timmisun Limited.
Benefits
- Hands-free interaction — speak to drive common Evie workflows without typing every prompt.
- Accessibility — support users who prefer or need speech input.
- Classroom & workshop fit — demos and teaching sessions without keyboard friction.
- Local-first alignment — designed to complement ManxOS privacy and data-sovereignty goals rather than forcing cloud-only voice services.
